Origin:
Patola sarees are hand-woven sarees that are created in Patan, Gujarat. Also known as double ikat sarees, Patolas are made by the resist-dyeing process using the warp and weft technique.
Ornamentation:
Zari work is known for the art of weaving threads in golden and silver colours. It involves the process of twisting a flattened metallic strip, which sometimes is made from pure gold and silver.
